The Lamar 8th Grade B Team opened the season on the road against in-town rival Travis Middle School. The Bearcats came out strong defensively, with Misael Barreto and William McKnight leading the charge.

On offense, the Bearcats struggled to find consistency but showed promise with tough runs from Barreto, Brayden Mast, and McKnight. Despite their efforts, Lamar fell to the Mustangs 13-0.

The Bearcats will look to bounce back in their home opener against Lake Belton on Tuesday, September 16, at 5:00 PM.
