The 8th Grade B Team had their home opener on Sept. 16 against Lake Belton.

The Bearcats started strong, with Jeffery Hodges scoring on the opening drive. The game remained tight as both teams battled without giving an inch. Offensively, Hodges and Jayden Vinson ran hard, while Misael Barreto commanded the offense, making plays both through the air and with his legs.

On defense, Hodges, Zach Beatty, and Vinson came up with key stops. Late in the game, Hodges even stole the ball from a Lake Belton player to give the Bearcats a chance to win. Despite the effort, the Bearcats fell just short, losing 15–8.

They will host North Belton next week, with Teacher Appreciation Night taking place in between the A and B games.
