The 8th Grade A Football team also hosted North Belton, falling 44-8.

The Broncos jumped out to an early 24-0 lead, capitalizing on Bearcat turnovers. Just before halftime, the Bearcats gained momentum with a touchdown pass from Misael Barreto to Liam Inzunza, cutting the deficit to 24-8. However, North Belton answered quickly to open the second half and pulled away.

Players of the Game were Liam Inzunza and Qorban Owens.

The Bearcats also celebrated Teacher Appreciation Night, honoring the educators who make a difference for their players in the classroom.

The Bearcats will look to bounce back and earn their first win next week as they face SC Lee on Monday, September 30, at 6:15 p.m. at Brad Dusek Field.
