TEMPLE, TX — Under the bright lights of Wildcat Stadium, the Lamar Middle School 8th Grade Lady Bearcat Track & Field team brought their "A" game to the Temple School Cen-Tex Divisional Meet on April 1.

Competing against a stacked field of regional talent, the Lady Bearcats demonstrated remarkable speed and endurance across both track and field events.

Leading the charge for Lamar was Lyric Lott, who secured a pair of impressive 7th-place finishes. Lott proved to be a force in the sprints, clocking a 13.51 in the 100-meter dash and returning to the blocks later in the evening to post a 28.98 in the 200-meter dash.

Joining Lott in the sprint dominance was Latreasia Gamble, who narrowly missed the top ten in the 100 meters with a solid 14.07 (11th place) before surging to a 9th-place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 29.63. LaTearra Rivers also displayed great versatility, competing in both the technical hurdles and the 200-meter dash, where she earned 11th place with a time of 30.10.

Over in the field events, the Lady Bearcats took to the pits with determination. Naveah Loper led the jumping squad in the triple jump, leaping to a distance of 25’10 ½ to claim 14th place. Isabella Bischoff proved to be a dual-threat in the sand, recording an 11’5 in the long jump and a 25’4 ½ in the triple jump.

Lyric Lott showcased elite speed, earning 7th Place in the 100 meters (13.51) and 7th Place in the 200 meters (28.98).
Latreasia Gamble pushed the pace to take 11th Place in the 100 meters (14.07) and 9th Place in the 200 meters (29.63).
LaTearra Rivers cleared the obstacles for 16th Place in the 100 hurdles (21.34) and sprinted to 11th Place in the 200 meters (30.10).
Delaney Smith competed in the difficult hurdle double, taking 15th Place in the 100 hurdles (21.08) and 14th Place in the 300 hurdles (1:06.65).
Naveah Loper soared to 14th Place in the Triple Jump with a distance of 25’10 ½.
Isabella Bischoff covered significant ground in the field, earning 14th Place in the Long Jump (11’5) and 16th Place in the Triple Jump (25’4 ½).
Carter Caldwell battled through the 400-meter dash to secure 15th Place with a time of 1:20.40.
Kayliana Ward represented Lamar in the Long Jump, taking 15th Place with a leap of 10’5 ½.
