The Lamar Lady Bearcats 8th Grade A volleyball team opened their season on Thursday with a tough road test against the Lake Belton Middle School Lady Tigers. Despite a hard-fought effort, Lamar fell short in straight sets, dropping the match 25-11, 25-12.

Lake Belton controlled the momentum early in both sets, taking advantage of opening-night jitters and establishing a strong offensive rhythm. The Lady Bearcats flashed resilience, battling through long rallies and showing grit on defense, but were unable to slow down the Lady Tigers' attack.
