CAMERON — The Lamar Middle School 8th Grade Girls Cross Country team spent Saturday morning competing on the two-mile course at the Summer Finale Cross Country Meet hosted by Cameron Yoe High School.

Lamar Lady Bearcats Performances

Leading the way for Lamar was Olivea Rodriguez, who delivered a standout effort on the course. Rodriguez broke into the Top 20 overall, crossing the finish line in 18th place with a time of 16:52.22.

Dre'Dynn Green and Valerie Garcia Munoz rounded out the lineup for the Lady Bearcats, finishing side-by-side in 22nd and 23rd places. Green posted a time of 21:38.74, while Garcia Munoz was right behind her with a final clocking of 21:39.41.

Because five scoring runners are required to post a team score, Lamar Middle School did not register an official team result in the final standings.
