The Lamar 8th Grade Bearcat football team hosted Lake Belton at Brad Dusek Field for a tough conference matchup. While the offense struggled to build momentum against a disciplined Lake Belton defense, the Bearcat defensive unit delivered standout individual efforts throughout the evening.

Despite the final 45–0 scoreline, Lamar's defense provided several highlights and physical plays. Ian Torres anchored the defense with a stellar performance—reading screen passes efficiently, tackling solidly, and consistently finding his way to the ball. On the outside, Kayden Clark did a great job setting the edge, while Robert Williams stepped up at outside linebacker with decisive tackles.

Up front, Jervaughn Hudson and Daniel Ruiz wreaked havoc on the interior defensive line to disrupt play development, and Major Lee Jr. added a key pass breakup in the secondary.
