The Lamar Bearcat 7A team hosted Bonham MS in their season opener. The 7A started off strong as they were creating turnovers which turned into points, but things took a turn for the worst as turnovers started piling up and the Bearcats were in a big deficit. Bonham kept rolling and the Bearcats didn't have an answer. They fell by a score of 54-17.

#23 - Greyson Ross led the team with 6 points, #41 Wa'qvavion Lee added 5 points, and #5 Camden Grant added 4 points.
