The Lamar Bearcat 8A team started off the season playing in town rival Bonham MS. The Bearcats and Bulldogs were going back and forth in the first half as neither team were giving an inch in the game as the leads kept changing or it was close by a couple of points.

Unfortunately, the momentum shifted to the Bulldogs as they created pressure and costly turnovers resulted in the Bearcats getting in a big deficit which was hard to climb back from. But their efforts went unnoticed as they kept fighting until the end.

#3 Truewin Waller led the team with 31 points, and his efforts earned him the player of the game.

The Bearcats host Belton MS on Dec 3 at 8 pm.
