The Lamar Bearcats 8A team fell to River Valley by a score of 57–27 in a game defined by a spirited comeback attempt. After falling behind by 10 points, the Bearcats surged back to within 4 thanks to a massive offensive spark from Truewin Waller, who drained three consecutive 3-pointers. However, turnovers and late mistakes proved costly, allowing the game to slip away in the closing stages.

Waller finished with a team-high 20 points and was named Player of the Game for his performance, while Damien Mitchell added 4 points.

The Bearcats will look to clean up the errors as they host SC Lee for their final home game of the year on January 22.
