COPPERAS COVE, TX — It was a challenging night on the hardwood for the Lamar Lady Bearcats 7th Grade B basketball team this past Wednesday. Traveling to take on a disciplined SC Lee Junior High squad, the Lady Bearcats struggled to find their rhythm offensively, ultimately falling by a score of 38-2.
From the opening tip, SC Lee utilized a high-pressure defense that kept Lamar on their heels. Despite the lopsided scoreboard, the Lady Bearcats refused to quit, displaying a level of grit and sportsmanship that has defined their season. Every loose ball was contested, and the team continued to hustle until the final buzzer sounded.
