TEMPLE, TX — It was a high-octane evening at Brad Dusek Field on Thursday as the Lamar Middle School Lady Bearcats played host to the Travis Science Academy Lady Mustangs. In a unique matchup that saw 7th and 8th-grade squads combine forces, the two teams battled to a breathless 4-4 draw.
The story of the night was undoubtedly Lamar’s Juliett Shaw. In a display of pure clinical finishing, Shaw accounted for every bit of the Lady Bearcats' offense, finding the back of the net four times to keep her team in the hunt until the final whistle.
Match Highlights: A See-Saw Battle
From the opening kickoff, the pace was relentless. Travis Science Academy brought a balanced attack that tested the Lamar defense early and often, but they had no answer for Shaw’s breakaway speed and precision.
