CAMERON– The Lamar 8th grade girls cross country teams participated in the Midway Invitational at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco on Wednesday.

The Lady Bearcats were led by Azaria Staples who took 8th Place overall in the individual standings. Azaria ran the 3000 meter course in a time of 14:32.

Also representing Lamar was Desiree Tools who was 53rd (17:15); Jaylynn York 54th (17:17), Ashlea Hickey (19:51) and Monserrat Alejos (25:56)

Lamar returns to action on September 18th when they will compete in the Robinson Invitational at Robinson High School.
