ROBINSON– The Lamar 8th grade girls cross country team participated in the Robinson Invitational at Robinson High School in Robinson on Wednesday.

The Lady Bearcats were led by a 3rd Place performance from Azaria Staples who ran the 3.2 kilometer course in a blistering time of 15:30.

Teammate Jaylynn York also had a great time of 17:05 as she placed 12th overall in the field of 79 runners.

Lamar returns to action on October 2 when they will compete in the Belton Invitational at Heritage Park.
