The Lamar Lady Bearcat 8th grade cross country team competed in the Central Texas District Cross Country Championships on Wednesday at Lions Park in Temple.
The Lady Bearcats were led by a pair of Top 10 finishers in Azaria Staples and Jaylynn York. Azaria finished in 4th Place in the individual standings as she ran the 2 mile course in a time of 14:55 while Jaylynn placed 8th overall and finished with a time of 15:02.
Also for the Lady Bearcats, Desiree Tools finished in 42nd place as she ran the course in a time of 18:48.
