The Lamar Lady Bearcat 7th Grade B basketball team hosted Copperas Cove Junior High at Bearcat Gym on Thursday evening.

Following a scoreless first half, the offenses for both teams picked up the pace in the second half and the Lady Bearcats came away with an 8-7 victory over the Lady Bullpups.

The Lady Bearcats were led by Layla Ramirez with 4 points while Josie Guerrero and Mariah Badger each had 2 points.

Lamar will return to action on January 9th when they will travel across town to face Bonham at 5:00 pm.
